EAST COAST VINEYARD REPRESENTATIVE

Daniel Sweeney is Inland Desert’s East Coast Vineyard Representative. He has more than 15 years of experience managing wineries, vineyards and nurseries in various parts of the country.

Daniel served on technical and program committees for local grower associations and as Vineyard Technical Officer on the LIVE board. He has chaired the LIVE technical committee since 2013. In addition to his work with Inland Desert Nursery, he is a consulting viticulturist and IPM specialist in his home states of North Carolina and Virginia.

Kevin Judkins wears a lot of hats. With his father, Tom Judkins, and brother, Jerry Judkins-Smith, Kevin is a partner in Inland Desert Nursery and Judkins Family Farms. Kevin’s experience goes well beyond just the Nursery operation and into a 100 acre organic Cherry orchard and 250 acre Wine Grape growing operation.

Kevin graduated from Seattle University with a B.A. in Business Administration (Accounting), he was a member of Washington Ag Forestry’s Class 33, and has served on a variety of committees with a number of professional organizations, from the Washington Grape Society and National Clean Plant Network to the WSU Foundation Block Advisory Group and WA Grapevine Advisory Committee.

 

 

Jason Cole

OREGON VINEYARD REPRESENTATIVE

Like so many wine industry professionals, Jason Cole began his professional education at UC Davis, earning a degree in Viticulture and Enology. From there, he went on to study and work in France, Portugal and South Africa, completing an Master’s Degree in Viticulture and Enology from Montpelier.

Jason began to develop Cole Family Vineyards in Oregon’s Applegate valley six years ago, and recently joined Inland Desert Nursery as a vineyard representative with particular knowledge and experience of Oregon’s wine grape growing regions.
